Accounts Payable Manager
We are exclusively partnering with a growing and ambitious business seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-performing team and take ownership of the AP function during an exciting period of growth and transformation.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can adapt to change, and is passionate about driving efficiencies while developing people.
Hybrid - 3 days in 2 from home
Location - London
Salary - £50,000 to £55,000 + bonus
The Opportunity
As Accounts Payable Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the Accounts Payable function, ensuring supplier payments are processed accurately and on time while maintaining strong financial controls. Managing a team of Accounts Payable professionals, you'll provide leadership, coaching, and development to ensure service levels, controls, and performance targets are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, develop, and motivate a team of Accounts Payable professionals
- Manage team workload, priorities, and performance to ensure deadlines are met
- Conduct regular 1:1s, coaching sessions, and performance reviews
- Oversee the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices
- Ensure strong financial controls are maintained across the AP function
- Manage supplier payment runs and cash flow requirements
- Act as the escalation point for supplier and internal stakeholder queries
- Review supplier statement reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Monitor AP ledger integrity, including debit balances and unallocated payments
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to streamline processes
- Partner with key stakeholders across Finance and Operations to enhance procedures and controls

What We're Looking For
- 3/4 experience supervising or managing an Accounts Payable team
- Strong people management skills, including coaching and performance management
- Excellent understanding of Accounts Payable processes and controls
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Good Excel skills
- Someone who thrives in a changing, evolving business environment
