Role Summary
The Accounts Payable & Receivable Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Accounts Payable Supervisor and Accounts Receivable Coordinator. This diverse role will predominantly be focused on adding capacity to the Accounts Payable function and supporting the preparation of sales invoices to be issued to ROVOP’s customers.
Key duties will include, however will not be limited to:
Accounts Payable
- Update finance system with PO’s and receipts from weekly IMS download
- Updating the finance system with any new suppliers created on IMS
- Collation of all supplier invoices
- Checking/posting invoices onto the finance system - ensuring entries are accurate
- Assisting with maintaining purchase ledgers
- Dealing with supplier queries and responding in a timely manner
- Monitoring the Finance Mailbox and responding to supplier queries
Accounts Receivable
- Preparation and submission of monthly sales invoices to clients, including collation of supporting documentation
- Uploading sales invoices to the AR ledger
- Preparation and posting of accrued revenue journals monthly
- Provide cover for credit control including contacting clients and escalating internally, where necessary
- Maintenance of sales ledger, including allocation of receipts
- Uploading FX rates to accounts system weekly

About You
- You should have previous experience in an accounts department role, with relevant experience of working in a project/contract-based industry. Would also consider a highly motivated entry level candidate looking for a career in finance.
- You must be PC literate with proven experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office Packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience with Sun Systems or other comparable finance software packages is desirable.
Personal attributes
The candidate should be personable and able to engage support and co-operation at all levels. With good communication, organizational skills and presentation skills.
