Accounts Payable / Receivable Assistant

Location: Ripley, Derbyshire
Reporting to: Financial Controller

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable / Receivable Assistant looking for your next opportunity with an established and growing business?

We are recruiting for an Accounts Payable / Receivable Assistant to join the Finance team of an excellent, successful company based in Ripley, Derbyshire.

The Role
You will be responsible for a range of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties, including:

  • Processing invoices and ensuring payments are made within agreed terms
  • Processing multi-currency invoices across multiple companies
  • Resolving invoice, credit, and supplier queries
  • Liaising with managers to ensure timely invoice approval and payment
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Assisting with monthly reporting, aged creditors, and purchase ledger KPIs
  • Raising and processing AR credit notes
  • Dealing with customer queries
  • Completing daily bank reconciliations and allocating incoming payments
  • Supporting process improvements within the Finance team

About You
We are looking for someone with:

  • At least one year’s accounts office experience
  • Experience across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Experience working with multi-currency transactions and international suppliers
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • The ability to prioritise your workload and meet deadlines
  • A flexible and adaptable approach
  • The ability to work confidently as part of a team
  • Good communication skills and confidence dealing with internal and external stakeholders

Experience within a manufacturing environment or previous involvement in process improvement would be advantageous.
