Introduction
Join a growing business where finance plays a key role in keeping operations running smoothly. This Accounts Payable position offers the chance to be part of a collaborative finance team, ensuring suppliers are paid accurately and on time while helping to maintain strong financial controls.
Role Overview
- Location: Northwich / Hybrid (minimum 3 days per week in the office)
- Package: £Day Rate

What You'll Be Doing
- Process supplier invoices and credit notes accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Match invoices against purchase orders and goods received, investigating any discrepancies.
- Ensure invoices are coded correctly, approved and posted in line with company procedures.
- Support payment runs, making sure suppliers are paid on time and in accordance with agreed terms.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve payment or account queries efficiently.
- Maintain accurate supplier records and support updates to supplier information.
- Work closely with Procurement, Operations and internal stakeholders to resolve invoice and purchase order issues.
- Assist with month-end activities, including reconciliations, accruals and reporting.
- Help maintain strong financial controls, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to continuous improvement across the finance function.

Main Skills Needed
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger or similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of invoice processing, reconciliations, purchase order matching and payment procedures.
- Confident using Excel to analyse, reconcile and investigate financial data.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving queries.
- Clear communication skills with the confidence to build relationships across the business and with suppliers.
- AAT qualification or studies would be advantageous, as would experience within a shared services or high-volume finance environment.
