Job Opportunity: Accounts Payable Specialist
Chalk Hill Group are working with an established logistics and distribution business on the outskirts of Portsmouth who are looking to add an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to their small finance team.
The Role:
- Managing the end-to-end Accounts Payable process
- Processing and coding a high volume of supplier invoices
- Matching invoices to purchase orders and resolving discrepancies
- Preparing supplier payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving queries
- Maintaining accurate supplier records
- Supporting month-end processes and wider finance duties where required
- Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders

About You:
We’re looking for someone with solid Accounts Payable experience who is comfortable working independently within a small team.
You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role
- AAT Level 3 or 4
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage your own workload
- Good communication skills
- Experience using accounting systems such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks
- A team-focused approach and willingness to get involved across the wider finance function
