Client Details

We're looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our client's Group Finance team in North Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable or Purchase-to-Pay team leader who enjoys leading people, improving processes and ensuring a high-quality service is delivered across a busy finance operation.

Description

The key responsibilities of an Accounts Payable Supervisor will include:

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of five Accounts Payable Associates.
  • Plan and prioritise daily workloads to ensure invoices and queries are processed within agreed SLAs.
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of high-volume supplier invoices.
  • Provide expert guidance and act as an escalation point for Accounts Payable activities.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity and quality, addressing issues and driving improvements where required.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls, Group policies, procedures and audit requirements.
  • Resolve supplier and stakeholder queries efficiently and effectively.
  • Review performance data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Champion continuous improvement, streamlining processes and improving efficiency.
  • Develop strong relationships with suppliers, stakeholders and wider finance teams.
  • Support the onboarding, training and ongoing development of team members.

A successful Accounts Payable Supervisor will have:

  • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within Accounts Payable/P2P.
  • Strong end-to-end AP/P2P knowledge.
  • Experience working in a high-volume finance environment.
  • Strong SAP knowledge.
  • Good Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
