Accounts Payable Supervisor

We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to lead our AP function and ensure the smooth, accurate, and timely processing of supplier payments. You'll oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, manage key vendor relationships, support and develop a high-performing team, and drive continuous improvements across financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the accounts payable team, providing guidance, training, and day-to-day supervision.
  • Oversee the accurate processing, approval, and payment of invoices, ensuring compliance with company policies and controls.
  • Manage supplier relationships, resolving queries, reconciling accounts, and negotiating favourable payment terms where appropriate.
  • Ensure payments are processed accurately and on schedule across multiple payment methods.
  • Monitor AP reconciliations, maintain accurate vendor records, and support audit requirements.
  • Produce and analyse AP reporting, providing insights on ageing, outstanding liabilities, and overall performance.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across finance, purchasing, and operations to support effective financial processes and controls.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal, listening, writing)
  • Experience in hotel operations and service quality levels
  • Strong organisation and analytical skills in problem-solving
  • Ability to acquire, maintain and influence relationships e.g. stakeholders, customers, vendors, investors
  • Knowledge of the markets specific luxury/lifestyle hotel sector
  • Effective conflict and change management skills
