Join the RAC as an Accounts Payable Team Manager

Lead the Accounts Payable function and drive improvements in how we manage supplier payments.

About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership role within Finance, where you’ll take ownership of a large and varied Accounts Payable function. You’ll lead a team of around 15-20 people, supporting team leaders, managing performance and making sure everything runs smoothly across multiple payment streams.

There’s a real opportunity to make an impact. Processes are established but ready for improvement, so we’re looking for someone who can quickly understand how things work today, bring fresh ideas and lead change in a way that the team can get behind.

You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the RAC, balancing day-to-day delivery with longer-term improvements in process, efficiency and team capability.

What you’ll do

  • Lead and support a team of around 15-20 across multiple Accounts Payable workstreams
  • Oversee accurate processing of supplier invoices, reconciliations and query resolution
  • Support and coach team leaders, helping them manage performance and develop their teams
  • Take ownership of team wellbeing, creating a supportive and inclusive environment
  • Manage workloads to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time
  • Identify and drive improvements in processes, efficiency and ways of working
  • Lead change initiatives and help bring the team with you on that journey
  • Build strong relationships across the business to align priorities and expectations
  • Handle supplier and contractor relationships professionally and effectively

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
