Accounts Receivable Assistant
£33,000 to £35,000 | Central London | Hybrid, 2 days in the office
We're working with a seriously cool, fast growing B Corp consumer brand to hire an Accounts Receivable Assistant into their Finance team.
This isn't your typical AR role.
You'll own the fundamentals across invoicing, cash collection, customer accounts, reconciliations and month end, but you'll also be highly visible across the wider business, regularly working with Sales, Commercial and Operations.
The business has an awesome, outgoing culture and, importantly, a genuine track record of developing people. There are multiple examples of individuals joining in junior Finance and AR positions and progressing into Commercial Finance and senior Management Accounting roles.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Your very own career expert that helps elevate your application to the next level.
Some previous experience within AR, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or a similar Finance role is important, but personality is equally key.
You'll need to be confident, outgoing and comfortable speaking to people across a business. Someone curious, proactive and keen to understand the commercial story behind the numbers rather than simply processing transactions.
For someone early in their Finance career who wants exposure, progression and the opportunity to develop beyond traditional AR, this could be a brilliant move.
