Job Summary
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing collections, resolving payment-related queries, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. The role plays a key part in ensuring timely payment collection, reducing outstanding debt, supporting financial reporting activities, and contributing to the continuous improvement of Accounts Receivable processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client accounts, proactively chasing outstanding payments via email and phone.
- Investigate and resolve payment queries in collaboration with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute statements of account to highlight outstanding balances.
- Issue payment links and support clients through the payment process.
- Investigate, process, and distribute credit notes when required.
- Maintain regular communication with key account managers regarding payment status and aged debt.
- Monitor accounts receivable balances and escalate issues where necessary.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and reporting activities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and streamlining of Accounts Receivable processes.
- Organise workload effectively to meet deadlines and service level expectations.
- Provide support on ad hoc projects and activities as required by the Accounts Receivable Leader.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Collections, or a similar finance role.
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable processes and payment reconciliation.
- Experience managing customer accounts and outstanding debt.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and investigative abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken; additional languages are advantageous.
