LegalVision is a commercial law firm built for businesses that want to work differently. Through our fixed-fee legal membership, we provide unlimited legal support to SMEs and in-house teams.
Our team uses custom-built technology to deliver fast, high-quality legal support with predictable pricing for clients, and rewarding careers for those who work here. The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Accounts Receivable Manager to take ownership of our UK accounts receivable function, ensuring clients are contacted promptly, outstanding accounts are actively managed, escalations are progressed, records are accurate, and stakeholders have clear visibility over how receivables are tracking.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is confident managing the full receivables lifecycle, communicating with clients, resolving complex accounts and working collaboratively across the business to achieve strong commercial and client outcomes.
The role will work closely with and report directly to our Australian Accounts Team Manager, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working autonomously while maintaining strong communication and alignment with the broader Finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the accounts receivable ledger and ensuring outstanding accounts are actively followed up and progressed.
- Proactively contacting clients regarding outstanding and failed payments via phone and email.
- Managing aged and escalated accounts, including negotiating payment plans and working towards appropriate resolutions.
- Handling sensitive or complex account queries professionally, including situations where clients have raised concerns or complaints.
- Liaising with internal teams, including Client Success and Legal, to resolve client issues and achieve a common outcome.
- Identifying accounts requiring further escalation and ensuring appropriate action is taken before debt continues to age.
- Preparing and issuing client invoices and ensuring billing is completed accurately and on time.
- Allocating and recording client payments accurately across general and client/trust accounts.
- Monitoring failed and overdue payments and ensuring timely follow-up.
- Assisting with account suspensions, cancellations, settlements and debt recovery processes where required.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive records of client communications, payment arrangements and account activity.
- Producing weekly accounts receivable reporting, including aged debt, collections performance, overdue accounts and key areas requiring attention.
- Monitoring receivables trends and identifying opportunities to improve collection performance and internal processes.
- Working closely with the Australian Finance team to ensure accounts are reconciled and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Supporting month-end processes and other finance activities relating to accounts receivable.
- Contributing to improvements and automation across billing, collections and receivables processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
