About the Role
As an Accounts Receivable Officer, you will ensure the full end-to-end accounts receivable workflow is effectively managed, continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and systems, and ensure the team delivers a consistently high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
Please note that this role is a fixed-term position for 12 months.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Manage the end-to-end merchant services card settlement process, ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of transactions.
- Perform daily reconciliation, allocation, and investigation of card receipts and payments, resolving any discrepancies working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage failed card transactions, including rejection resolution, customer communication, and payment recovery activities.
- Process card recharges and monitor manual card payments, ensuring successful completion and prompt resolution of any issues.
- Prepare and maintain regular reports on debtor balances, outstanding failed transactions, and recovery performance.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial procedures, and merchant service provider requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
- Undertake additional duties and ad-hoc projects as required to support the wider Finance team.

Skills & Experience
- 1 year experience in a Finance environment
- Experience in card payments, merchant services, settlements, and reconciliation.
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues.
- Good understanding of financial controls, compliance, and payment processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication, organisation, and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume transactions and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in Excel and financial/payment systems.
- Flexible and able to support ad-hoc Finance projects and wider team requirements.

What to expect from the recruitment process

- Then, if you are progressing, the hiring manager will invite you to an interview, usually on Teams;
- If you are successful we will invite you to our office for a final stage interview.
