About The Role

The Accounts Receivable Specialist role is an integral part of a dynamic finance team within a prominent haulage and manufacturing organization based in Maghera. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in sales ledger and accounts receivable functions to contribute to the company's financial operations. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer invoicing processes, credit notes, reconciliations, and supporting month-end procedures. The role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to support the company's growth and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will possess relevant experience and skills, including:

  • Proven experience in sales ledger or accounts receivable functions.
  • Understanding of fundamental accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing financial data.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills to liaise effectively with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

The successful Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the company's cash flow management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing customer invoices promptly and accurately in accordance with company policies.
  • Issuing credit notes and managing credit control procedures to ensure timely payments.
  • Reconciling accounts receivable ledger with bank statements and other financial records.
  • Supporting month-end closing activities by preparing relevant reports and documentation.
  • Maintaining effective communication with customers regarding outstanding balances and payment issues.
  • Assisting with internal audits and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
  • Collaborating with other departments to resolve discrepancies and improve processes.
