About The Role
Your New Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the finance function with a primary focus on accounts receivable, credit control, and payroll processing. You will be responsible for ensuring customer payments are accurately recorded, maintaining strong relationships with customers and external stakeholders, and supporting the smooth operation of the wider accounts department. Key duties will include:
- Processing customer invoices accurately and efficiently
- Managing payroll processes
- Monitoring the accounts receivable ledger
- Proactively managing credit control activities
- Reconciling accounts
- Resolving payment queries
- Assisting with financial reporting and audits
Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to the financial health and operational efficiency of the organization.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in an accounts receivable, credit control, or finance position
- Strong payroll processing knowledge
- A solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls
- Experience working with external stakeholders such as banking partners and credit insurers
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Infor, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Strong organizational skills
- The capacity to manage competing priorities effectively
- High levels of accuracy, confidentiality, and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
Responsibilities
- Processing customer invoices accurately and efficiently to ensure timely billing cycles
- Managing weekly and monthly payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
- Monitoring the accounts receivable ledger to ensure payments are received and correctly allocated
- Proactively managing credit control activities, including following up on overdue accounts and minimizing bad debts
- Reconciling customer accounts and preparing aged debtor reports for management review
- Resolving invoice, payment, and account queries promptly to maintain strong customer relationships
- Liaising with customers, financial institutions, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth financial operations
- Supporting month-end closing activities, including financial reconciliations and reporting
- Completing bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Assisting with purchase ledger activities as required to support overall finance functions
- Supporting internal and external audit processes by maintaining accurate and complete financial records
- Maintaining organized and compliant financial documentation for audit and operational purposes
