Accounts Receivable Specialist
Salary: up to £29,000
Location: Blackburn

The role
As Accounts Receivable Specialist, you'll be integral to the smooth running of the finance department. Your day-to-day activities involve:
- Monitoring cash processes
- Importing reports into SAP
- Posting invoices and credit notes
- Reconciling accounts
- Uploading sales data
- Resolving discrepancies
- Escalating issues as needed
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Handling general administration duties
Success requires attention to detail, effective communication across all levels of management, adaptability in presenting financial information, and a commitment to meeting deadlines. You'll work closely with colleagues across departments to ensure accurate financial reporting while contributing positively to the overall business strategy. Key responsibilities
- Monitor the end-to-end cash process, investigating discrepancies to ensure accuracy
- Import daily cash processing reports into SAP and maintain meticulous records for audit
- Document discrepancy and forgery reports promptly and professionally
- Post debtor invoices and credit notes accurately, allocating cash receipts to customer accounts
- Conduct monthly reconciliation of cash and card general ledgers, writing off within thresholds and investigating variances
- Post ad hoc journals to maintain accurate financial records
- Monitor missing sales, escalate issues, and resolve them collaboratively
- Upload fuel and shop sales data regularly, investigating variances to ensure complete revenue reporting
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations alongside sales reconciliation tasks
What you bring

- Proven experience from similar roles within finance or shared services
- Client service skills matched by strong technical proficiency with MS Office
- Sound academic credentials alongside practical finance experience, enabling you to present financial information confidently yet sensitively across audiences
