Accounts Receivable Specialist – Permanent | Ballymena
Riada Resourcing is proud to represent a leading manufacturer based in the Ballymena area. Due to continued business growth, they are seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their Finance team, with a focus on credit control, payroll processing and supporting the smooth operation of financial activities.
Overview:
- Location: Ballymena
- Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm (40 hours per week)
- Flexibility: Flexi-time system allowing hours to be worked between 7:00am and 6:00pm
- Salary: £30,000 - 33,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner
- Manage weekly and monthly payroll processing
- Monitor the accounts receivable ledger to ensure payments are received and allocated correctly
- Follow up on overdue accounts and resolve billing or payment discrepancies
- Reconcile customer accounts and prepare aged debtor reports
- Apply and allocate cash receipts within accounting systems
- Respond to customer account queries and provide statements when required
- Assist with month-end processes through accurate reporting and reconciliations
- Maintain organised financial records, invoices, receipts, and correspondence
- Liaise with Sales and Customer Service teams to resolve account-related issues
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation
- Perform bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
- Assist with purchase ledger duties as required
- Undertake any other finance-related duties as required

Criteria:
- Previous experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, Billing, or Payroll
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication, customer service, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent organisation, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
