Working Arrangements: This position is Head office based.

Objectives of the role:

  • To ensure the efficient processing of sales invoices, credits and payments, guaranteeing correct levels of approval and correct coding to the accounts whilst assisting the Credit Control team in ensuring that customer queries are resolved, and disputes are reported
  • To ensure all licensee changes are accurately reflected in the accounting system within established deadlines and reconciled accurately
  • To ensure all cash is processed within a timely manner to allow the Credit Control Team to effectively manage overdue debt

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and control of the EDI sales invoice process for all beer sales including reviewing any system warnings
  • Ensure our beer suppliers are fully up to date with providing our EDI invoices to allow accurate invoicing to our Licensees
  • To deal with trade invoicing and product queries in a timely manner to ensure appropriate posting of trade invoices
  • To maintain the rent invoicing schedule and process and control the weekly and monthly rent invoices as per the schedule on a weekly basis to Admiral Licensees
  • To process invoices and letters for the monthly RPI/CPI increases/decreases on rent, ensuring these are processed accurately and in line with contracts
  • Process and control of change of agreements from a financial viewpoint, ensuring accuracy in the system from a billing and reconciliation perspective, including the activation of agreements and billing lines
  • To produce the weekly direct debit run, closely checking the report and ensuring accurate collection, working closely with the Credit Control Team providing forecast and reporting
  • Ad-hoc invoicing and credits requests across the business including regular invoicing uploads
  • Processing of cash receipts and payments from bank statements
  • Processing and reconciling payments by open banking and debit/credit card ensuring payments are posted to the correct customer accounts and all funds are received from our suppliers daily
  • Reconciliation and resolution of unallocated cash account
  • Assist the Credit Control Team and BDMs with resolving customer disputes, building strong relationships with both departments and the business as whole
  • Assisting with the annual company audit in providing information to auditors
  • Other ad hoc duties including covering other departmental roles and tasks as required

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ accounts receivable or credit control experience, preferably in a similar environment
  • Exceptional relationship building skills with the proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is critical to this role
  • Good IT and systems skills, able to build structured reports, including spreadsheet analysis
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • Highly self-motivated and adaptable to change
  • Able to display and promote a proactive, positive, professional team atmosphere and engage with our values
