TPF Recruitment is supporting a well-established and growing accountancy practice with the recruitment of a Semi Senior Accountant to join their Haywards Heath team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional looking to develop their career within a supportive environment, with broad exposure across accounts, tax, VAT, management accounts, and audit.
The Role
Working as part of an established accounts team, you will support a varied portfolio of clients and take increasing responsibility for the delivery of their accounting requirements.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Preparing financial and management accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Assisting with corporation tax, personal tax, and VAT returns
- Supporting with tax computations
- Assisting with audit assignments and fieldwork where required
- Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within deadlines
- Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the team
- Working closely with senior members of the team on client assignments
- Keeping up to date with relevant accounting and tax legislation

Requirements
We are looking for someone with previous experience within an accountancy practice who is either part-qualified or actively working towards AAT, ACA, or ACCA, or has equivalent experience.
You will ideally have:
- Previous accountancy practice experience
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients
- Exposure to tax and VAT
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and client relationship skills
- The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
- A genuine interest in progressing your career within practice
