Description
We’re looking for an Accounts Semi-Senior to join the team at DPC, part of the Sumer Group.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious practice accountant who is looking to build on their experience, take on more responsibility, and continue developing their career within a supportive and growing accountancy practice.
Key Responsibilities
As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you’ll work closely with a varied portfolio of clients, supporting with the preparation of accounts and providing a high-quality service across a range of assignments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing accounts for a range of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
- Preparing VAT returns and other compliance work.
- Assisting with tax computations and returns.
- Managing your own portfolio of clients with support from senior team members.
- Communicating directly with clients and building strong working relationships.
- Supporting more junior members of the team and sharing your knowledge.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and deliver an excellent client experience.
- Working closely with Managers and Seniors to ensure work is completed accurately and on time.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in an accountancy practice environment.
- Part-qualified or actively studying towards ACA, ACCA, AAT, or an equivalent qualification.
- Confident preparing accounts and dealing with a variety of client work.
- Comfortable communicating with clients and colleagues.
- Organised, commercially aware, and able to manage competing priorities.
- Keen to continue learning and developing their technical knowledge.
- A team player who takes pride in delivering great work.
