TPF Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established independent firm of Chartered Accountants in Eastleigh, who are looking to recruit an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their friendly and growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous accountancy practice experience who is looking to develop their technical skills, gain greater client exposure, and progress their career within a supportive and collaborative environment. Full study support is available for candidates currently studying, or planning to study, AAT, ACA or ACCA.
The firm acts for a broad portfolio of clients across a variety of sectors, ranging from sole traders and partnerships through to established owner-managed businesses and limited companies. As part of the accounts team, you'll gain exposure to a diverse workload while working closely with experienced professionals who are committed to your development.
Responsibilities
- Preparing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns.
- Producing management accounts for a range of clients.
- Supporting bookkeeping and VAT return preparation.
- Liaising directly with clients to answer queries and build strong working relationships.
- Working closely with senior members of the team on a varied client portfolio.
- Developing your technical knowledge and taking on additional responsibility as your experience grows.

Requirements
- Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.
- Studying AAT, ACA or ACCA, or keen to begin a professional qualification (study support provided).
- Strong communication skills with a proactive and positive approach.
- Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

- Salary of £28,000 - £36,000, depending on experience and qualification status.
