Accounts Semi-Senior or Accounts Senior - Chartered Accountancy Practice - £30,000 to £45,000 per annum base salary

Location - Reading
Qualification - ACA or ACCA studier to finalist

About the Business

My client is a long-standing Accountancy Practice based in Reading with a heritage spanning over 50 years. This client services a large number of clients across Thames Valley and London which include small to medium sized businesses across all industry sectors. This role will report into one of the Partners of the business.

This client is happy to either taken on an Accounts Semi-Senior with minimum of 2 years experience at the early stages of their studies OR an Accounts Senior that has 4 years plus experience, can prepare statutory accounts and is closer to finalising their ACA/ ACCA qualification.

This position will sit in the Accounts Prep department under the Senior Accounts Manager and will be responsible for preparing year end financial statements and statutory accounts as well as corporation tax returns.

Key Duties

  • Preparation of financial accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships across a diverse group of industries.
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Communication and networking with clients, partners, and colleagues to progress assignments and resolve queries.
  • Establishing strong and successful relationships with accounts clients through effective stakeholder management.
  • Ad-hoc project work to assist managers and partners, as required.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years Accountant Practice experience
  • Must be studying towards AAT, ACA or ACCA qualifications
  • Experience with either assisting or preparing year end financial statements with some experience in Corporation Tax Returns
