A well-established and growing accountancy practice in Liverpool City Centre is seeking a motivated and ambitious Accounts Semi Senior / part qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA). Your new role

As an Accounts Semi Senior, you will play a key role in the preparation of financial statements and supporting clients with the following (but not limited to):

  • Preparing full sets of statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
  • Producing year-end accounts from incomplete records through to final review stage.
  • Preparing corporation tax computations and supporting schedules.
  • Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
  • Assisting with bookkeeping and management accounts where required.
  • Supporting senior staff and managers with client assignments.
  • Providing ad hoc assistance to the audit team during peak audit periods (where applicable).

This is primarily an accounts-focused role, with audit experience being advantageous but not essential.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Part-qualified ACA or ACCA.
  • Previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment.
  • Strong experience preparing full sets of accounts for a range of clients.
  • Good working knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Experience using cloud-based accounting software and accounts production systems.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach.

Desirable but not essential:

  • Previous audit experience gained within practice.
  • Ability to support audit assignments during busy periods.
