R4 Advertising is growing, and we’re looking for an ambitious Accounts Senior to strengthen our finance team.
This is a hands-on role for someone with strong accounting fundamentals who wants to continue developing professionally and progress towards becoming fully qualified.
Working closely with the Finance Director, you’ll support the day-to-day finance function, month-end reporting, and the accuracy of our financial records. You’ll work across the full accounting cycle, from transactional processing through to trial balance, balance sheet reconciliations, and management reporting.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and reviewing trial balances.
- Completing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintaining accurate general ledger records.
- Posting journals, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Supporting month-end and management accounts.
- Assisting with year-end accounts and audit requirements.
- Supporting purchase ledger, sales ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Helping improve finance processes and internal controls.
You’ll have direct exposure to the Finance Director and the opportunity to develop both your technical and commercial accounting experience as R4 continues to scale.

We’re looking for someone who has:
- Around 3 years’ relevant accounting experience.
- Strong hands-on trial balance experience.
- Confidence completing balance sheet reconciliations independently.
- Experience across general ledger and month-end accounting.
- Experience posting journals, accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent, or actively working towards qualification.
- A genuine ambition to become fully qualified.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- The ability to investigate discrepancies and take ownership of resolving them.
- Confidence working across both transactional finance and reporting.
- Experience using Xero would be advantageous.
- Experience within services, professional services, agency, media, or advertising would be preferred.
- You’ll be someone who takes ownership, gets into the detail, and wants to understand the numbers rather than simply process them.
