Client Details

A respected and long-established independent accountancy practice in Greater Manchester is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join its growing team.

Description

As an Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and acting as a key point of contact for their accounting and business advisory needs.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
  • Preparing management accounts and financial reports.
  • Reviewing bookkeeping records and resolving accounting queries.
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
  • Assisting with corporation tax computations and related compliance work.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Attending client meetings and providing proactive support and advice.
  • Supporting junior team members through coaching and mentoring.
  • Liaising with HMRC and other third parties where required.
  • Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.

Profile

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • ACA or ACCA qualification (or be part-qualified/qualified by experience).
  • Previous experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
  • Experience preparing accounts for a portfolio of business clients.
  • Proven client-facing experience and confidence in managing client relationships.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive and commercial approach to problem-solving.
  • Good knowledge of accounting software and cloud-based systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
