Accounts Senior
We are looking for an experienced, technically strong, and detail-oriented Accounts Senior to join our team. In this role, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting, tax, and advisory services while supporting Partners and Managers in the successful delivery of client work. You will play a key role in building strong client relationships, reviewing work, mentoring junior team members, and ensuring assignments are completed efficiently and to the highest professional standards.
Skills and Experience

- Prepare and review statutory financial statements for Limited Companies, LLPs, Partnerships, and Sole Traders.
- Prepare draft corporation tax computations and returns for Limited Companies, LLPs, and Partnerships.
- Prepare and review management accounts, providing meaningful financial insights where appropriate.
- Prepare self-assessment tax computations and personal tax returns.
- Manage a portfolio of clients, acting as a key point of contact and building trusted relationships.
- Support Managers and Partners with client advisory work and wider practice initiatives.
- Review work completed by junior team members, providing coaching and technical guidance.
- Ensure assignments are delivered accurately, on time, and in compliance with relevant accounting and tax standards.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and provide additional services to clients where appropriate.

What We Are Looking For
We think you'll need the following experience and qualifications to succeed in the role:
- At least 4–5 years' experience within an accountancy practice, operating at Accounts Senior level.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, or finalist with significant relevant experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and taxation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Commercial awareness with a genuine interest in supporting owner-managed businesses.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines, prioritise workloads, and work independently.
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues.
- Experience using the IRIS Accountancy Suite and QuickBooks would be advantageous.
