A well-established and highly respected independent accountancy practice based in Merseyside is looking to appoint an Accounts Senior to join its growing team. The firm has built an excellent reputation across the North West for delivering a personalised service to a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs and entrepreneurial clients.

Due to continued growth and an increasing client base, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Senior to join a supportive and collaborative environment where career progression and professional development are actively encouraged.

Your new role

As an Accounts Senior, you will manage a varied portfolio of clients and be responsible for delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services. Your duties will include:

  • Preparing statutory accounts for a wide range of limited companies
  • Producing management accounts and financial reports
  • Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
  • Assisting with corporation tax computations
  • Liaising directly with clients and providing day-to-day business advice
  • Supporting junior team members and reviewing work where appropriate
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful in this position, you will:

  • Be AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified or qualified by experience
  • Have previous experience working within an accountancy practice environment
  • Possess strong accounts preparation skills
  • Be confident managing client relationships
  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate a proactive and professional approach to your work
