Our client is an established accountancy practice boasting stability, a strong client base, and a well-established reputation in their market. We are seeking an experienced Accounts Senior to join the established team supporting a diverse portfolio of commercial clients.

The business offers significant technical expertise and resource while retaining the feel of a regional practice where individuals have visibility, responsibility, and scope for growth.

You will be involved in the preparation of accounts and related work for a wide range of commercial and agricultural businesses - including limited companies, partnerships, trusts, and sole traders of all sizes.

This role is ideally suited to someone currently working in an accountancy practice who is professionally committed, logical, and accurate, with a methodical approach to work and strong attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare year-end accounts for commercial and agricultural businesses.
  • Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries.
  • Support Managers and Partners with accounting assignments.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant legislation and internal quality standards.
  • Complete allocated work to a high standard and within agreed timeframes.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in preparing high-quality accounts.
  • Solid understanding of technical accounting standards.
  • Proficient with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Farmplan, CCH, and QuickBooks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite.
  • AAT/ACCA/ICAEW/ICAS qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.
