Accounts Senior – Part Qualified or Qualified
📍 Verwood, Dorset | 💷 Circa £40 - 45k DOE | 🕐 Permanent or Fixed Term Contract Options
Dovetail Recruitment is working with an established chartered accountancy practice in Verwood that is looking for an Accounts Senior to join its friendly team.
This could suit an ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified accountant with previous UK accountancy practice experience, whether you're looking for your next career step or a more local, flexible role.
The role:
- Prepare year-end statutory accounts for SME and owner-managed businesses
- Prepare accounts from client records and bookkeeping information
- Post journals and accounting adjustments
- Work with Sage, Xero and QuickBooks
- Liaise directly with clients and resolve queries
- Assist with corporation tax work and general compliance
- Manage your own workload and client deadlines

We're looking for someone with:
- Previous UK accountancy practice experience – essential
- Experience preparing statutory accounts
- Experience working with SME/owner-managed clients
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- The ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- ACA/ACCA part-qualified or qualified status
Corporation tax experience is advantageous but not essential.
