Accounts Senior - AAT Qualified

An established accounting firm in Gainsborough is looking to hire a fully AAT qualified accountant to join their growing team. You’ll work with a portfolio of SME clients, producing management accounts, year-end accounts, and supporting with the associated tax returns, with a clear route to progress as your experience develops.

The Role

You’ll support and gradually take ownership of a varied client portfolio, building strong relationships and becoming a trusted point of contact. Responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly/quarterly management accounts packs for SME clients
• Producing year-end accounts (Ltd companies and/or sole traders/partnerships depending on the portfolio)
• Assisting with and preparing tax compliance work (e.g., corporation tax computations/returns and/or self-assessment, depending on experience)
• Liaising with clients to gather information and resolve queries in a timely, professional way
• Supporting junior colleagues with day-to-day questions, as appropriate
• Working to deadlines and keeping managers/partners updated on progress
