Exciting Opportunity for a Financial Reporting Professional
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong financial reporting professional to join a growing audit team and take ownership of the preparation and review of statutory accounts for a diverse client portfolio. The role offers significant scope to help shape a developing financial reporting function and play a key part in building a specialist team over time.

Our client is a well-established and highly respected professional services firm with an ambitious growth agenda. As client demand continues to increase, the firm is investing in its financial reporting capability within the audit practice, creating a specialist team dedicated to supporting complex accounts preparation and technical reporting requirements.
This position offers the opportunity to work across a varied portfolio of clients ranging from owner-managed businesses to larger groups, gaining exposure to complex reporting matters and group structures.
Description
- Prepare statutory financial statements under FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A for a range of clients
- Prepare and review consolidated financial statements for group entities
- Support audit teams with technical accounting and financial reporting matters
- Ensure accounts are prepared in accordance with relevant reporting standards and regulatory requirements
- Liaise with audit managers, partners, and client finance teams throughout the accounts preparation process
- Assist with technical research and the application of evolving accounting standards
- Contribute to the development of processes, controls, and best practice within the financial reporting function
- Support the growth of the team, with the opportunity to mentor and develop junior colleagues as the function expands

Profile
- Qualified ACA or ACCA, or equivalent experience
- Strong experience preparing statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A
- Proven experience preparing consolidated financial statements
- Background within audit, accounting advisory, or financial reporting services
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders
- Experience with FRS 101 and IFRS reporting would be highly advantageous
- Ambitious and keen to play a role in the development of a growing specialist function
