Client Manager – Accountancy Practice

£45,000 – £60,000 DOE | 4 or 5 Day Week | Hybrid Working

In this role, you'll manage your own portfolio of clients, overseeing their accounts and tax requirements while providing proactive business advice and supporting the development of junior team members.

We're working with a well-established and rapidly growing accountancy practice that's looking for an experienced Client Manager to join its team. The firm has grown significantly and offers the resources and opportunities of a larger organisation while retaining a supportive, people-focused environment.

The Role

You'll act as the main point of contact for your own portfolio, working closely with Partners and other teams across the practice.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a varied portfolio of clients
  • Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and tax work
  • Providing proactive accounting, tax and commercial advice
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Identifying tax planning and wider advisory opportunities
  • Managing workflows, deadlines and client expectations
  • Reviewing work completed by junior team members
  • Coaching and supporting the development of the wider team
  • Working closely with Partners on more complex client matters

About You

You'll ideally be ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with previous experience managing a portfolio within a UK accountancy practice. You'll have strong accounts and tax knowledge alongside the confidence to advise clients, manage relationships and support more junior accountants.

If you're an experienced Accounts Senior, Assistant Manager or Client Manager and feel ready for greater responsibility, we'd still encourage you to apply even if you don't tick every box.
