BC Financial Search Partnership Opportunity in Bolton

BC Financial Search is collaborating with a thriving accountancy practice in Bolton, seeking a key senior appointment within its leadership team.

The firm is open to candidates at various levels, including experienced Senior Manager, Director, or Partner positions, depending on the individual's qualifications.

This role primarily focuses on accounts and business services. The successful candidate will manage a client portfolio of approximately £600k, gradually taking on more responsibilities in the leadership, development, and growth of the Bolton office.

The practice includes dedicated Audit and Tax teams, so the role is not about being a specialist in every area. Instead, the successful individual will manage key client relationships, understand their broader needs, and involve the firm's specialist teams as appropriate.

There is significant potential for the role to grow over time, including potential share-based growth incentives for more senior appointments.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a substantial portfolio of owner-managed businesses and corporate clients.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients, building strong long-term relationships and providing commercially focused advice.
  • Oversee the delivery of accounts and wider business services work across the portfolio.
  • Review work completed by team members and ensure it is delivered to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Work closely with Managers and junior team members, supporting their technical and professional development.
  • Play an active role in the management and development of the Bolton office and wider team.
  • Help manage workloads, workflow, and client delivery across the department.
  • Identify opportunities where clients may benefit from additional services including Tax, Audit, and specialist advisory support.
  • Develop existing client relationships and support the continued growth of the practice.
  • Build relationships with prospective clients and the wider business community where appropriate.
  • Work alongside the existing leadership team on the future development and direction of the office.
  • For more senior candidates, take on broader strategic and commercial responsibilities as the position develops.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Benefits and overall package will vary depending on the level at which the successful individual joins.

Company Culture

The firm has an established presence across the North West and has continued to grow considerably in recent years.

The Bolton office has a sizeable existing team, and the successful individual will be joining an established operation rather than being expected to build a client base or department from scratch.

There is a strong emphasis on client relationships, developing people, and providing joined-up advice across the wider practice. Separate Accounts, Tax, and Audit specialists work collaboratively, allowing senior client-facing individuals to focus on understanding their clients and bringing in the right expertise when required.

This appointment is expected to have a visible presence within the Bolton office and play an important role in developing the team and culture. Some hybrid flexibility is available, although this would suit someone who enjoys being involved with their team and contributing to the wider office.

To apply, please submit your CV or contact Ben Copsey at BC Financial Search directly for a confidential discussion. All applications will be handled in strict confidence.
