Brook Street is delighted to be supporting a growing, modern accountancy practice in North Cardiff as they expand their team. Due to sustained growth and a rising portfolio of SME clients, they are seeking a fully qualified ACA/ACCA Accounts Senior to join on a part-time, permanent basis (22.5 hours / 3 days per week).

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys client interaction, ownership of work, and progression — with a clear pathway towards a Client Manager position.

🧩 The Role

You’ll play a key part in supporting a busy director and helping the practice continue its growth trajectory. The position starts office-based, with hybrid flexibility available once settled.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for limited companies
  • Producing corporation tax and self-assessment returns
  • Reviewing work from junior team members
  • Acting as a main point of contact for clients
  • Spotting tax planning and advisory opportunities
  • Ensuring compliance deadlines are met
  • Supporting workflow improvements and promoting cloud-based systems
  • Contributing to a collaborative, team-focused environment

🎓 About You

  • ACA or ACCA fully qualified
  • Minimum 3 years PQE in practice (or QBE at Accounts Senior level)
  • Strong experience with SMEs / owner-managed businesses
  • Excellent attention to detail and review capability
  • Confident communicator who enjoys client-facing work
  • Proficient in Xero (experience with practice management systems beneficial)
  • No audit experience required
