About The Role

This permanent, full-time Accounts Senior position near Newbury offers a salary of £35,000 to £43,000 yearly. Working alongside a supportive practice team, duties include preparing accounts for diverse business clients, submitting corporation tax returns, and assisting with personal tax plus self-assessment. Duties Will Include

  • Preparing accounts for a range of business clients
  • Preparing and submitting corporation tax returns
  • Supporting with personal tax and self-assessment work
  • Managing bookkeeping for a range of clients
  • Completing VAT returns and other statutory submissions
  • Undertaking bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Liaising with clients to resolve queries and provide a high level of service
  • Supporting with year-end accounts and general practice accounting duties
  • Statutory accounts production

To be considered for this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience within an accountancy practice and accounts preparation
  • Exposure to corporation tax and personal tax
  • AAT qualified or currently studying towards ACCA
  • Good working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting systems, ideally including Xero, FreeAgent or QuickBooks
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Confident communicating with clients and working as part of a team
  • Able to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines
