Accounts Senior Associate
Location: Inverness (Hybrid Working Available)
Are you an experienced Accounts Senior looking to take the next step in your career with a growing and forward-thinking accountancy practice? We're looking for an Accounts Senior Associate to join a collaborative accounts team, working with a diverse portfolio of clients across a wide range of sectors. The Role
As an Accounts Senior Associate, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting and advisory services while supporting managers with the day-to-day running of client portfolios.
Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements for a broad range of clients.
- Managing your own portfolio of businesses, partnerships, trusts and other organisations.
- Supporting managers with the planning and delivery of client work, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are achieved.
- Taking ownership of a variety of advisory and project-based assignments.
- Reviewing work completed by junior team members, providing guidance and technical support.
- Assisting clients with bookkeeping, VAT and cloud accounting software queries.
- Building strong, long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted point of contact.
- Supporting work planning, scheduling and the efficient delivery of client assignments.
- Assisting with billing and financial management of client work.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business to deliver joined-up client solutions.
- Mentoring and developing junior members of the team through coaching and knowledge sharing.

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- ACA, ACCA, ICAS or AAT qualification, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
- Experience preparing accounts for a range of business entities.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience reviewing work where appropriate.
- Good understanding of bookkeeping and VAT.
- Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks or Sage would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritise competing workloads.
- A proactive, collaborative approach with a passion for delivering outstanding client service.
