The Opportunity
As an Accounts Senior / Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality accounting services to a varied client portfolio. You will review statutory accounts, company tax returns, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP and HMRC regulations. The role includes maintaining strong client relationships, resolving queries, and identifying opportunities to add value while contributing to the growth of the practice.
What You'll Be Doing
As our Accounts Senior/Assistant Manager, you'll be responsible for:
- Reviewing year end accounts prepared by junior members of staff for Director/ Manager sign off
- Reviewing corporation tax returns prepared by junior members of staff for Director/ Manager sign off
- Helping clients with general advice and software questions
- Managing the workflow of accounts preparation process and work planning to ensure smooth efficiencies of work completed to deadlines agreed with clients.
- Contributing to ongoing process improvement and best practice development
- Correspond with clients by email and phone to resolve questions on accounts
- Support adhoc client-driven projects

What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- 5+ years of Practice experience
- ACCA/ACA/AAT qualified
- Impeccable organisational skills
- Strong background in accounts and corporation tax preparation
- Confidently build rapport with clients
- Keen attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills at all levels
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach
- A commitment to delivering excellent client service
