On-site

Accounts & Finance Team Member

Location: Ipswich

Contract: Permanent, full-time

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9.00am-5.00pm

Weekend work: None

Overtime: No mandatory overtime

The Role

We are looking for a commercially aware and technically confident Accounts & Finance Team Member to join our established team in Ipswich on a permanent basis.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to do more than simply maintain the accounts. At first you will take responsibility for our existing reconciliation and credit control functions, before working closely with our technical team to identify opportunities to automate, improve and streamline these processes.

Once successful improvements have been made, you will continue this approach across the wider accounts department - helping us modernise the way we work and making our financial processes more efficient, accurate and scalable.

We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, thinks critically and is confident enough to question established processes when they can be improved.

Responsibilities Will Include

  • Completing daily and monthly bank and account reconciliations.
  • Managing credit control and customer accounts.
  • Ensuring customer and supplier accounts are accurate and up to date.
  • Investigating discrepancies and resolving financial queries.
  • Working with Sales and Management to make informed decisions about customers and suppliers.
  • Managing a high volume of financial transactions across our UK and EU operations.
  • Preparing and reviewing financial information and reports.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting.
  • Preparing management accounts and VAT returns.
  • Working with our technical team to identify opportunities for automation.
  • Challenging existing processes and developing more efficient ways of working.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
