Accounts & Tax Manager | West London | Up to £70k p.a. DOE

Sheridan Maine is delighted to be recruiting an Accounts & Tax Manager on behalf of an established and growing accountancy practice based in West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional to take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients, with an even 50/50 split between accounts and tax. The role would suit someone who enjoys variety, has strong technical knowledge and is confident building trusted relationships with clients.
The Role
As Accounts & Tax Manager, you will manage a diverse portfolio of clients and oversee the delivery of both accounts and tax services.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of sectors and business sizes.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and management accounts.
- Managing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and providing relevant tax support.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients and developing strong, long-term relationships.
- Providing clients with practical accounting and tax advice.
- Reviewing work completed by junior members of the team and providing guidance and support.
- Managing deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Supporting the wider team with technical queries and contributing to process improvements.

About You
We are looking for an experienced Accounts & Tax professional with a strong background in UK accountancy practice.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience within a UK accountancy practice, with strong experience across both accounts and tax.
- Good technical knowledge of UK accounting and taxation, including corporation and personal tax.
- Experience managing a varied portfolio of clients.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- Experience reviewing work and supporting more junior members of a team.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A proactive and commercially aware approach to client service.
- ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience.
