TPF Recruitment is supporting a highly prestigious and well established firm of Chartered Accountants in Goudhurst with the recruitment of an Accounts & Tax Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountancy practice professional to join a highly regarded firm offering a varied portfolio of predominantly limited company clients. The position will combine accounts preparation, corporation tax, VAT and outsourced finance support, alongside responsibility for reviewing work and developing junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Assisting predominantly limited company clients with their statutory reporting requirements
- Preparing and reviewing financial statements, primarily under FRS 102, with some exposure to IFRS
- Preparing and reviewing corporation tax returns
- Preparing and reviewing VAT returns
- Supporting outsourced Finance Director clients with management reporting and ad hoc queries
- Reviewing bookkeeping records and resolving any discrepancies
- Providing practical accounting and tax advice to clients
- Managing deadlines across a varied portfolio of clients
- Assisting with the training, supervision and development of junior team members
- Building strong, long term relationships with clients and providing an exceptional level of service

Requirements
You will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, although part qualified and qualified by experience candidates will also be considered. You will have developed strong accounts and tax experience within an accountancy practice and be confident preparing financial statements and corporation tax returns for limited companies.

You will be organised, commercially aware and comfortable managing multiple deadlines. Previous experience reviewing work or supporting junior colleagues would be beneficial, although the position can be shaped around the successful candidate’s experience and aspirations.
