Accounts & Tax Manager
TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts & Tax Manager to join a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Ashford.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional looking for a varied accounts and tax position with responsibility for client relationships. The firm offers hybrid working and is happy to consider both full time and part time candidates.
As an Accounts & Tax Manager, you’ll oversee accounts and tax work for a portfolio of clients, support colleagues and work closely with the senior team to deliver a high standard of service. Alongside a salary of £50,000 to £60,000, the package includes an annual bonus, parking and a healthcare benefit.
Responsibilities
As an Accounts & Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing a portfolio of clients and acting as their main point of contact.
- Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and associated tax computations.
- Overseeing corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
- Managing deadlines to ensure accounts and tax returns are completed accurately and on time.
- Supporting clients with accounts and tax queries, identifying matters requiring further advice.
- Reviewing colleagues’ work and providing guidance to support their development.
- Working closely with the senior team to coordinate workloads and maintain excellent client service.

Requirements
To be considered for this Accounts & Tax Manager opportunity, you’ll have:
- A strong background in accounts and tax within an accountancy practice.
- Experience managing client relationships and taking responsibility for a portfolio.
- Good technical knowledge of statutory accounts, corporation tax and personal tax.
- Confidence preparing and reviewing work, with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a practical approach to resolving client queries.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- A supportive, collaborative approach to working with colleagues.
