Accounts & Tax Senior
TPF Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts & Tax Senior to join a fantastic firm of chartered accountants based in Ashford.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with accountancy practice experience looking for a varied role across accounts and tax. The firm offers hybrid working and is happy to consider both full time and part time candidates.
As an Accounts & Tax Senior, you’ll work closely with managers and the senior team, preparing accounts and tax returns and building relationships with clients. Alongside a salary of £40,000 to £55,000, the package includes an annual bonus, parking and a healthcare benefit.
Responsibilities
As an Accounts & Tax Senior, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing year end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Preparing corporation tax computations and returns.
- Preparing personal tax returns and supporting clients with tax compliance.
- Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT work where required.
- Liaising directly with clients to obtain information and resolve accounts and tax queries.
- Managing your workload to ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
- Supporting junior colleagues and working closely with managers to deliver an excellent client service.

Requirements
To be considered for this Accounts & Tax Senior opportunity, you’ll have:
- Previous accounts and tax experience within an accountancy practice.
- A good understanding of statutory accounts preparation, corporation tax and personal tax.
- Confidence using accountancy software.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage your own workload.
- Good communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients.
- A friendly, collaborative approach and a willingness to support colleagues.
