We're looking for an experienced ACA or ACCA qualified accountant (finalists and QBE will be considered) to join our Accounts & Tax team.
This role would suit someone who enjoys preparing accounts, corporation tax returns and working directly with clients, and is looking for a position that offers flexibility, stability and genuine work-life balance. The Role
As a key member of our Accounts & Tax team, you'll be responsible for preparing high-quality accounts and tax work for a varied portfolio of clients, working closely with the department managers and Head of Department.
The role is primarily focused on year-end accounts and corporation tax compliance, making it ideal for someone who enjoys technical accounts and tax work and takes pride in producing accurate, well-presented work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies across a range of industries
- Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting computations
- Producing complete working paper files ready for manager and partner review
- Communicating directly with clients to request information and resolve queries
- Assisting clients with routine accounts and tax matters throughout the year
- Monitoring the progress of assignments and helping ensure deadlines are met
- Supporting managers in the smooth day-to-day running of client portfolios
- Assisting trainees and less experienced team members where appropriate
Whilst the principal focus of the role is year-end accounts and corporation tax compliance, there may also be opportunities to assist with management accounts and other outsourced finance activities where appropriate.

About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is ACA or ACCA qualified, QBE, or in the final stages of qualification
- Has at least 2-3 years' experience preparing company accounts and corporation tax returns
- Is comfortable communicating directly with clients
- Enjoys producing high-quality technical work
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage their own workload
- Has good Excel & Microsoft Office skills

£35,000 - £50,000 depending on experience, qualifications and working pattern.
