We're looking for an Accounts Team Assistant to join our Finance team in Southampton. In this role, you'll support the smooth running of our Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Personal Expenses activities, helping to ensure payments, invoices and financial records are processed accurately and on time.
You'll work with a wide range of colleagues and external partners, handling financial queries, maintaining accurate records and supporting reconciliations and payment processes. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in finance while gaining exposure to a broad range of financial operations within a large financial services organisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the processing of invoices, receipts, payments and expense transactions.
- Assist with payment runs and payment processing across multiple business units.
- Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
- Support account and bank reconciliations, helping to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Respond to finance-related queries from suppliers and colleagues.
- Monitor outstanding invoices and support the resolution of payment issues.
- Assist with regulatory and business-critical payment activities.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and process efficiencies.
- Develop knowledge of finance systems, policies and procedures.
- Provide general administrative and operational support to the wider Finance team.
About You
- Previous experience in an accounts, finance or administrative environment.
- Experience using financial systems and supporting reconciliation activities.
- Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work.
- Comfortable working with numbers and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Highly organised, proactive and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
- A logical and analytical approach, with the confidence to investigate queries and support the resolution of issues.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- A proactive mindset, strong willingness to learn and a genuine interest in developing a career within Finance.
