Accreditation Learning and Development Manager
Salary: £44,821 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Home based, with extensive UK travel and international travel to support Green Flag Award International expansion

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Accreditation Learning and Development Manager to lead the design, delivery and development of training across our accreditation programmes, including the Green Flag Award, Green Flag Community Award, Green Heritage Site Accreditation and Coastal Awards.
In this key role, you will manage training for more than 1,000 volunteer judges and assessors, ensuring consistent standards are maintained across UK and international schemes. You will oversee the Green Flag Award Academy, support the development of sector skills, update guidance and training resources, and work closely with managing organisations, partners and suppliers to deliver effective learning interventions.
You will be responsible for recruiting, inducting and supporting judges and assessors, monitoring judging standards and judges’ reports, managing training through an online portal, and supporting the implementation and monitoring of international sub-contracts. The role includes managing the Skills Development Co-ordinator and working with trainers, sub-contract holders and stakeholders to ensure high-quality training delivery.

About You
- Strong experience in training strategy, needs analysis, delivery and monitoring and evaluation.
- Confidence in developing learning materials, managing relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, and working with partners, suppliers and accreditation bodies.
- Excellent communication, organisation and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and resolve sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy.
