Accreditation & Rankings Manager
We are seeking a motivated and collaborative individual to join our team as an Accreditation & Rankings Manager. The Accreditation & Rankings Manager has a key strategic and operational role within Alliance Manchester Business School. They support the Head of School, Director of School Operations, and Partnership Director in the development and implementation of the School’s accreditation strategy and reaccreditation cycle, as well as the School’s strategic approach to external rankings, along with their operational delivery.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Reporting to the Partnership Director and supporting the Head of School and the Director of School Operations in the development, implementation, execution, and monitoring of the School’s strategy, policies, procedures, and priorities relating to external accreditation standards, ensuring a key aim of continuous improvement is embedded across the School
- Taking overall responsibility for the consistent delivery of the reaccreditation cycle, including writing five-yearly submissions, external mid-term progress reports, and annual progress reports for each Standard across the School’s activities
- Managing and coordinating all peer review visits, including all preparations, correspondence, continuous data requirements, and delivery of post-accreditation actions
- Leading on the annual Business School Rankings cycle, acting as secretary to the Strategic Rankings Committee, and working with the Partnership Director and other key stakeholders providing analysis and insight to support strategic decision-making in relation to rankings
- Leading on the operational delivery of the rankings strategy, leading cross-functional groups to coordinate our rankings submissions and communications

About You
We welcome candidates who bring diverse perspectives, experiences, and approaches to their work.
Essential Criteria
- A degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field
- Knowledge of business school accreditations and rankings
- Development of large, complex reports, presenting at senior levels, managing a range of stakeholders, and leading and motivating teams without line authority
- Strong relationship management, stakeholder engagement, communication, facilitation, and influencing skills
- Exceptional writing skills, critical thinking, and the ability to understand data
Desirable Criteria
- Wider knowledge of the business school landscape both in the UK and internationally
- Project management, setting, and achieving agreed deadlines
- Evidence of delivering continuous improvement
- Digitally literate, comfortable with a range of IT tools
