11915– 40-hour Accuracy Checker - Permanent contract
We are recruiting a 40-hour Accuracy Checker to work at our 479-branch located 1A Belgrave Crescent, Scarborough, YO11 1UB.
The proposed shift pattern is:
- Monday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
- Tuesday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
- Wednesday 09:00- 18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
- Thursday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
- Friday 09:00-18:00 (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
As a Qualified Accuracy Checker, you will enhance the pharmaceutical care of the patient by providing essential safety checking functions on dispensed items.
You will need to carry out final checks of listed dispensed medicines and products that are clinically approved by a pharmacist. You'll have a solid understanding of how to interpret patient details, legal requirements and information governance, and work in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs). You'll also have the skills to provide feedback to others and identify opportunities to minimise errors, contributing to a patient safety culture in the workplace.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that our high standards of customer care and services are maintained throughout the branch.
You must be confident in building customer relationships, establishing their needs, providing friendly advice and excellent product knowledge and services. You must also have the drive and enthusiasm to want to coach others in your branch to do the same.
The utmost attention to detail is required in this role along with the ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
You must have a passion for Pharmacy, in order to drive the business forward and have great people skills, as this is paramount to your role. You will be required to work as part of a well-established team and ensure our customers receive a high standard of service.
Proof of your completion of the Accuracy Checking Course (ACT Qualification) is essential. You will be required to renew your certificate every two years to demonstrate that you are able to carry out final accuracy checks of dispensed medicines under supervision of a Responsible Pharmacist.
