Graduate & Senior Acoustic Consultant

Applied Acoustic Design (AAD)

Location: Staines-upon-Thames
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hybrid working available for Senior role

Join our team Build your career with one of the UK’s leading independent acoustic consultancies. AAD is looking for both a Graduate Acoustic Consultant and Senior Acoustic Consultant to join our Staines-upon-Thames team. We work across commercial, education, healthcare, residential, transport and environmental projects, providing practical acoustic advice from early design through to construction and completion.

Graduate Acoustic Consultant

An opportunity to start your career in acoustic consultancy with hands-on experience and structured support from experienced consultants. You’ll undertake building and environmental surveys, analyse measurement data, assist with acoustic calculations and design, prepare technical reports and gradually take on greater project responsibility.

You’ll ideally have:

  • A degree in acoustics or a relevant science, engineering or technical discipline
  • A practical, inquisitive approach to problem solving
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • A willingness to travel to project sites
  • A full UK or equivalent driving licence

Senior Acoustic Consultant

Take responsibility for projects from proposal through to completion, delivering technical advice and building strong client relationships. You’ll lead acoustic design, manage surveys and assessments, prepare and review technical work, liaise directly with clients and project teams, and mentor junior consultants.

You’ll ideally have:

  • 5+ years’ acoustic consultancy experience
  • Strong technical knowledge across building and/or environmental acoustics
  • Experience managing projects and delivering work independently
  • Confidence working directly with clients and multidisciplinary design teams
  • A practical, commercially aware approach to problem solving
  • A full UK or equivalent driving licence
