A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a highly respected, international firm with expertise in Acoustic design within the Environmental, Architectural and Transport markets.

With a number of offices spanning the UK and abroad, this successful organization is looking to recruit a highly skilled Acoustic Consultant to complement a team of noise specialists in their office based in Southampton and contribute to a challenging range of projects in both public and private sectors.

Qualifications

  • Preferably MSc/BSc in Acoustics/ Noise and Vibration
  • AMIOA

Experience

  • Acoustic consultancy experience in the field of Environmental and/or Building Acoustics
  • Technically competent and IT proficient
  • Good communication and client liaison skills
  • Extensive and detailed understanding of Environmental Acoustics.
  • Highly organised and IT literate

Duties

  • Measurement surveys and reporting
  • Advice on legislation
  • Prediction and measurement of transportation noise
  • Planning conditions: compliance and negotiation
  • Noise Impact Assessments (including Environmental Impact Assessment)
  • Liaise with consultants, engineers and architects
  • Writing high quality reports
  • Industrial and commercial noise control
  • Consultation with Environmental Health Officers including advising on appropriate use of planning conditions
  • Undertake noise assessment site visits all over the UK
