Join Affinity Water as an Acoustic Logging Technician
Are you someone who enjoys working outdoors, being active, and making a real difference? We're looking for enthusiastic and motivated Acoustic Logging Technicians to join our team and help us detect leaks across our water network.
This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to develop technical skills in the water industry. No previous acoustic logging experience is required as full training will be provided.
What You'll Be Doing
- Locating water main fittings across the network
- Deploying and collecting acoustic logging devices
- Using electronic leak detection equipment to record and analyse noise samples
- Accurately documenting activities using company systems and processes
- Meeting operational targets, including the deployment and collection of a minimum of 80 loggers per day
- Following all health, safety and environmental procedures
- Safely handling equipment, including lifting and replacing manhole covers
What We're Looking For
We're keen to hear from candidates who:
- Enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Are reliable, proactive and self-motivated
- Have basic IT, maths and English skills
- Can work independently and as part of a team
- Are comfortable with physically active work and manual handling tasks
- Are willing to work flexible hours, including occasional night work
- Hold a full UK driving licence
