London Rangers Youth & Community

London Rangers Youth & Community is seeking an experienced Acoustic or Noise Consultant to support the planning and design of our community sports development at Evershed Sports Ground in West London, including football pitches and four padel courts.

What Difference Will You Make?

Your expertise will help us design the development responsibly while balancing the needs of young people, sports users, the local community and neighbouring residents.

  • Early professional advice could help us identify potential noise issues before the planning application is submitted, allowing our architect and project team to incorporate appropriate mitigation into the design.
  • This could include the positioning of facilities, operating hours, acoustic barriers, landscaping and our proposed landscaped earth bund along residential boundaries.
  • Your involvement could help us avoid expensive redesign work, strengthen our planning application and create a sports facility that can operate successfully while minimising its impact on neighbours.
  • Ultimately, you will be helping us develop a sustainable community facility providing sport, education, mentoring and opportunities for young people in West London.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What are we looking for?

More Information on Working Patterns

  • The role can initially be undertaken remotely, as we can provide site plans, photographs and details of the proposed development.
  • Applicants can therefore be based anywhere in the UK.
  • A visit to Evershed Sports Ground may become useful as the project progresses, particularly if on-site observations or measurements are recommended, but this is not required for the initial review.
  • Meetings can be held online and arranged flexibly around the volunteer's existing professional commitments.

What will you be doing?

We are developing plans to transform Evershed Sports Ground into a sustainable community sports and education hub.

The proposed development includes a full-size 11v11 3G football pitch with spectator facilities, a separate 7-a-side 3G pitch, four padel courts, turnstiles and supporting community facilities.

As neighbouring residential properties are close to parts of the site, managing noise appropriately is an important part of our design and planning process.

We are looking for a volunteer who can:

  • Review our existing site plans and proposed layout
  • Advise on potential noise impact on neighbouring residential properties
  • Consider noise from football, spectators, whistles, padel courts and general site activity
  • Advise on appropriate operating hours and management measures
  • Review the positioning and orientation of pitches and padel courts
  • Advise on acoustic fencing, barriers, landscaping or earth bunds
  • Help us understand what noise information or assessments the planning authority is likely to require
  • Advise whether a formal Noise Impact Assessment is required
  • Help us develop practical noise-mitigation measures that can be incorporated into the masterplan
  • Where appropriate, review technical information prepared for the planning application

We already have site plans and development proposals available, so the initial work can be undertaken remotely.
